I’m working on a English writing question and need a sample draft to help me study.Q: Your overall goal this week, in your initial post, is to write a complete paragraph, working with the rough material from last week’s discussion. You will choose ONE pair of quotes from last week’s discussion (copied into the linked document) as your starting point; you are allowed to make any revisions you feel necessary as long as you keep the two quotes originally chosen. Here are the other rules this post should follow:In the subject line, give your post a unique, compelling title (as though you were titling an essay)
Write a backward-looking sentence for the beginning of your paragraph (see: “7.3 Use transitions and signposts to develop relationships between ideas” from ENG 101 OER)
Copy, paste, and revise as needed the first passage from last week, making sure it contains 4 core parts: Introduce the source, Deliver the quote, Cite, Add your thoughts: explain why you thought this was the best sentence to quote (see: “3.3 Strong paragraphs start with good evidence” from ENG 101 OER)
Copy, paste, and revise as needed the second passage from last week, making sure it contains 4 core parts: Introduce the source, Deliver the quote, Cite, Add your thoughts: explain why you thought this was the best sentence to quote (see: “3.3 Strong paragraphs start with good evidence” from ENG 101 OER)
If you haven’t already, add in any more of your own thoughts about the subject that first with the paragraph’s topic. Conclude the paragraph with a forward-looking sentence (see: “7.3 Use transitions and signposts to develop relationships between ideas” from ENG 101 OER)
ARTICLE: “Taylor Swift folklore” by Jillian Mapes
“Taylor Swift Leaves Her Comfort Zones Behind on the Head-Spinning, Heartbreaking ‘Folklore'” by Rob Sheffield
LAST QOUTE THAT I WROTE: This article I quoted from was written by Rob Sheffield Author, columnist, and an old man I really enjoyed reading this article which is the first article that I read about the album. According to Rob Sheffield ‘’Picking up a pen was my way of escaping into fantasy, history, and memory’’ I choose this quote because of the following. First, when you write about the things that scare you and sometimes you do not want to share it with others in your book, or you go into a different world that only can be found in your imagination that makes you feel better. Second, writing and reading about a specific time in history that makes me feel that I am living in that time of history and can be a source of knowledge. I personally sometimes summarize my readings from different genres History, Art, Novels, and is really fun for me to summarize them in order to have my version of this book and it will make it easier if I want to read it again.
