THE SMALL BUSINESS NEWS DISCUSSION BOARD
Post 200 word+ main post Respond to 3 other student main posts The goal of this assessment is to ensure that students are tracking the news as it pertains to small business. You should post to the Small Business News Discussion board (by Sunday each week) about some news that pertains to small business. Here are some examples of sources of business news you can use but you can write your post using any source

The article can actually be on any subject but you must then tie in to small business.
You should head up your post with the headline of the article. Then, write a maximum of 300 words about what you learned from your news article without quoting or ‘patchwriting’ ie using chunks of text from the article. You must include the link to YOUR article too. No Attachments please
For your main post, use the template (below). Cut and paste if you like
Include the link to the article here. You can summarize the article in no more that 50 words if you like.
Then using distinct paragraphs, do this:

All 3 of the above will get you the maximum score from the “Learning addressed” category in the grading rubric.
I do not want to see just a summary of the article. I can’t see your learning from a summary. Someone who does not understand business at all can still write a summary by pasting bits of the media article together. I need to know that you understand your reading
